Pottery sessions > Beginners will have the opportunity to learn wheel throwing, hand building, and glazing techniques from skilled instructors. Experienced potters will enjoy the bright, clean, and well-equipped studio. Sessions are conducted in an open studio format and our Flexible Scheduling makes finding the time easy. Start your sessions when it's convenient for you; morning, noon or night.

NOTE: All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their studio visit.

WHAT YOU GET: Fees include use of tools, glazes, clay and all firings. 4-week sessions receive usage of up to 12.5 pounds of clay and 8-week sessions receive usage of up to 25 pounds of clay. Additional clay can be purchased for $15 per 12.5 pound bag.

REGISTRATION
Paid registration is preferred one week prior to start date. Register by phone or in person during business hours.

HOURS & CLOSINGS
When the studio closes (due to holidays or weather) sessions held on those days will be extended*.

SESSION RENEWALS
Students may renew their sessions in class on or before their last session.

SCHEDULING & FIRM END DATES
The studio offers sixteen 3-hour time slots per week (excluding Holidays) for scheduling/rescheduling sessions. If a student is not able to attend one of their sessions, notify the office and schedule a make-up session. Make up sessions however, do not extend beyond a sessions end date so arrange to make up sessions before their end date.

CANCELLATION & REFUND
Cancel at any time. 50% of remaining sessions will be refunded. A $30 processing fee will be charged. Allow two weeks for processing. Expired sessions are non-refundable.

CLEANING, SAFETY & STORAGE
Students are asked to clean and put away any tools and studio equipment used. No item shall protrude more than three (3) inches from shelf. Extra space is available for the temporary storage of larger items.

LIBRARY & COMPUTER USE
Instructional books and DVD’s are available for a one-week loan with staff approval. Use of the studio computer is for project research, music, and instructional DVD play.

FRIENDS & FAMILY
Family and friends can observe with staff approval provided there is seating available. To participate they must pre-register.

OFFICE HOURS
Monday-Thursday 9:00-5:00/Friday & Saturday 9:00-4:00 *Does not apply to Clay Club members.

The Clay Club > Space Studios offers a membership program for those students who are familiar with the studio and can work independently. Space Studios' membership privilege program, gives members unlimited access to the pottery studio during Club hours-no appointment necessary. Members gain the freedom to explore the medium with the flexibility and the time to accomplish more.

The Clay Club is open to anyone age 16 or older with previous clay studio experience. Those without the required experience can register for a 4 or 8 week instructional session and join the Club upon completion.
